Medshow 2002 photos are
up. Only a few pictures were destroyed out of the hundred or so that
I took. There is a videotape available through the MSA archivists, talk
to Thomas Lim if you want one. To get a videotape, it's best if you
bring your own to give to him, or pay him whatever it is it costs (no
clue here, sorry).
Video is most likely going
to be completely unedited (forgot to ask a person who I killed the photos
of), and is of the Friday night show as are all of the pictures on the
Hope everyone had a nice
Christmas and New Years and the page is up finally.
For those of you interested,
there are videotapes of the Christmas Concert available. They're fairly
complete, however the 2nd movement of Greg's piano solo was cut short
as the hour long tape ran out while he was performing, and because Jazz
Band was expected to be longer, Juliette's introductions were not taped
during the Jazz Band portion. We did get her solo song however. Otherwise
the tape if fairly complete
Update is finally in, sorry
about the length of time it took. Included in it are the photos from
Icebowl, HIW, Welcome to the Wards and Run for the Cure 2001. HIW and
Welcome to the Wards are grouped together. On another note, the pictures
will all be 640 by 480 now, as I'm using that format for the digital
A note for the 2004s, the
prosection links will no longer work since no one needs them anymore.
I realize that I haven't
updated in a while and guess what? It's still not going to happen for
a bit, sorry. I'm hoping to get some stuff up this weekend, but the
2nd years have 3 exams on 3 consecutive weeks, that screws us over in
terms of free time.
Anyways, if you're a 2nd
year, and you want the prosection images, right click and select "save
and then here.
Save it to wherever you want, but the 2nd file is about 9 megs, so it
might take a while to download.
Well, the lazy summer is
over and it's back to school for all of us. I've put up the long delayed
pictures of Pat's party. Sorry about the wait for those who really wanted
to see them (this goes out to the cheesedoodle's in the pudding man).
One of the reasons for the long delay was simply because I was out of
space on the Tripod web page thing. I just deleted a lot of other stuff
and so I have enough room to put on the pictures. The pics for the orientation
week will be up later.
I put in what might pass
as a commentary in the BBQ section. Explains a bit about the strange
blonde which we have there. And for those of you who couldn't make it
to the BBQ, the commentary includes highlights about what happened (well,
what I could remember from the BBQ). The pictures from Pat's party will
be forthcoming. I'm just a little too lazy to transfer them.
And I realize that the
funny joke hasn't been changed in a long time, but I can't find one
I find funny enough to put up to change it yet, it'll be changed eventually.
But you don't come here for the joke anyways, so it doesn't really matter
Since I have a short attention
span and hate studying (who doesn't), I goofed off with this website
and made the Latest Stuff bar more useful now. If you click on the links
under Latest Stuff, they'll now take you to the appropriate news. Yeah,
lame improvement eh? Oh well, I'm actually pretty satisfied with the
change. Back to studying now...
Aaron's now part of the
MSA Exec council according to this website (earn brownie points with
him by commenting on how cute he looks in his tie and shirt like Kim
BTW, I happened to try
and look at this website using Netscape Navigator and all I can say
is ugh... The site doesn't work at all with Netscape, I'll try and get
that fixed, but the coding is a little funny for the top bit (i.e. really
bad), so it just doesn't work on Netscape. It displays funny already
in the web page maker that I use too, so Netscape's not the only one
As for Interphase photos,
you can look for them in the Fishbowl later. Thomas has them - he just
hasn't put them into the fishbowl albums yet. If you happen to notice
that there are no team photos for the 2003 men's team (the winners of
Interphase), the reason for the absence is because they left after I
asked them to stick around like 2 extra minutes to take the photo. They
just figured I'd be around the next day to do it, which I obviously
wasn't there for (hey, I had exams and the hour drive to take one photo
isn't worth it). So a sorry goes out to the 2003 men's team.
I've put in a new section
for student groups. I put it in actually just because I wanted to put
up the exec photos on the net as well, but it's use doesn't necessarily
have to end there. So if you want your student group there, I'll stick
it in. I'm thinking group photos for the most part - with maybe a caption
explaining the group, but I'm open to suggestions.
Oh yeah, you'll probably
notice that Aaron is missing - that's because his photos weren't good
and I'll update it later today. And if you're wondering where all the
rest of the interphase photos are, they're being developed. So yeah,
we're kind of on it.
Okay, the interphase page
hasn't been updated yet, but I did get in some of the interphase photos
that were taken on film. It won't be scanned till after my final, so
after May 7th. But they will be available in the Fishbowl tomorrow.
It's just one roll btw, and not all of it was interphase. The other
photos taken by the other archivists aren't in yet to my knowledge.
Most of you know it as
Memorial Service, but the program said Commemorative Service, so I decided
to go with that. Anyways, the pictures are finally up since the bellringer
is over. Sorry about the delay.
On a side note about the
pictures, we still have a big problem with red eye, and well, in this
case, not so much red eye but glowing eyes. These are digital photos,
but besides cropping and re-sizing have not been edited. Sorry about
the eyes, but even with red eye reducer there are some problems we need
to get sorted out. Please bear with us while we figure out how to change
As most of you know, Interphase
Hockey took place over the weekend of April 20 to 22, 2001. The winners
of the boys division were Med 2003, in a 4-0 victory over the Med 2004
team. The winners of the girls division were Med 2004, with a 4-3 victory
over the Med 2001/2002 team. Congratulations go out to all of the teams
that participated and to the old and new MSA Sports Reps that organized
such an enjoyable event.
On the sidebar, I've put
in a new link for files, and within it is a link to all of the Interphase
Hockey scores. After the bellringer exam, I'll put up something easier
for everyone as well as put up the memorial service pictures.
Okay, I put up the medshow
pics which I took when I wasn't archivist yet. If anyone has some which
they'd like to donate, then that'd be appreciated (I'd scan them and
get them back to you the next day). They're a much lower quality than
any of the other pics on this website, and formatted for 640x480 screens.
And I just realized that
I'm a dumbass (and no, don't point out that you knew that all along,
I'm getting worried about the bellringer now, which means stress). I
put all of the pics in 1024x768 format, but this webpage is meant for
800x600. So from now on, all pics will be in 800x600, but I'm too lazy
to go back and reformat the other pics (it's done manually).
BTW, if anyone wants to
donate any pics (for scanning, we won't keep them) for the CD ROM yearbook,
then just see me and I'll make sure they get in. If they're really good,
we could also get a copy of it placed in the Fishbowl. Otherwise, you'll
have to settle for what we take.
And last note, If we're
supposed to take pictures for the Memorial Service (they have a professional
videotaping it already), those will hopefully be up tonight as well.
I put up some pictures
of Interphase Hockey from the Boys 2004 vs 2003 game and the Girls 2004
vs Boys Who Can't Skate. Along with the pics comes some inane commentary
from myself (my rambling thoughts). But if you don't enjoy inane banter,
it's not like you need to read it to look at the pictures. Ideally,
I'll have hyperlinks within the commentary text to refer to specific
pictures, but I'm too lazy to do that right now. If anyone notices any
mistakes in the commentary (I already screwed it up on the boys game)
then just email me the right info please.
And for those groups that
we took pictures for using a film camera, your pics will take a while
to put up. Sorry, but it's exam time for us, and your pics require developing,
scanning and the creation of the webpage. So if you didn't see me in
your face with a digital camera, then it'll be a while. Sorry again
about that. On the bright side, your pics will appear in the Fishbowl,
while the digital photos will probably never appear there.
Okay, my technical know how of websites and HTML is pretty limited,
so I took a friend's old non-existent webpage and modified it a bit.
Since this is kind of a busy time, please don't expect much, and if
the website goes down, crashes etc... sorry, but I'm not going to fix
it for a bit, unless my procrastinating ways lead me to the computer.
Sorry in advance, but like I said, my computer wizardry is fairly limited
Anyways... questions or comments... email me and we'll see what I can
do, or more likely, what I can't...
Oh, btw, the archive isn't up yet, seeing as how there's nothing to
archive... But the link does go to some medshow pics of the class of
2004. Sorry about the poor quality in advance, but no flash, digital
zoom and technical ability were lacking for those pictures.
And I've put up the changeover pics as well as the hockey night pics
on this website.
