Run For The Cure 2001

Run For The Cure 2001 took place on September 30th, 2001. Organized by MSA Fundraising Rep Jennifer Minsos (picture of her getting a hug from Kim), the efforts of her and everyone who participated raised over $15,000 for the Breast Cancer Foundation of Canada. 150 people from the Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry participated in the race, which involved over 8000 (I think that's the number, but I'm not sure) from the community. Even the very young took part in the race along with their parents. Also represented were the teachers who came out to support the race.

Some of us walked (myself included), or ran. After the run, Dave Li stuck around to take pictures, which I probably should have done, but I left the camera in the car. Included in the photos are Warren's resuscitation (Warren was actually really good and came in with the first group), race start and lots of sweaty or semi-sweaty people. All of the pictures of the race and immediately after the race were taken by Dave, so everyone can thank him. I also used his group picture of everyone.

After the race, there was a breakfast organized by Jennifer Minsos, which was well attended. Shannon did an impromptu thanks on behalf of all of us to Jen, and then everyone posed for a group picture.
